More and more women are opting for more luscious lips and ITV starting their new ITVBe channel providing insights into lives involving cosmetic treatment use, we have managed to catch up with Dr Vik at Dermaskin Manchester to ask what he thinks about the increase in use.
“Lip fillers have become more popular because of awareness, online and on the TV”says the doctor, when asked about what one reason he thinks there’s an increase, his answer was simple “Instagram”
. It is true that applying various filters can really cause some significant improvements, but the more selfies we see out there, the more enhanced lips we will get to look at.Whilst at the clinic we were fortunate enough to meet up with a client right after lip filler treatment to ask about her experience. Sally from Bolton explained how she sometimes just goes for ‘half a ml’ because whilst it does not make a huge difference, she likes the subtle appearance of enhanced lips.
“The price of fillers is becoming cheaper, and fillers are becoming better” explained Dr Vik, “and in some instances can last as long as 2 years”. One would need to undergo a full consultation to see if they would benefit from lip fillers in Manchester but with prices starting at £160 it is increasingly affordable.
